<p>American History and Literature. Joy Hakim's award-winning series <em>A History of US</em> provides the foundation to the story of our nation with interesting text, photos, and illustrations. Several other books great books make up the history portion such as Before Columbus, Freedom Walkers, Sacajawea and more.</p><p>We utilize Joy Hakim’s The Story of Science as the spine to our program. Each book provides the historical perspective and the scientific explanation necessary for students to comprehend how each scientist, Aristotle, Einstein and Newton, contributed to our current understanding of matter, mechanics, mathematics and the universe.<p>Designed to integrate with History course material your students will read great classics like <em>To Kill a Mockingbird, The Call of the Wild, and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.</em></p><p>The Language Arts portion corresponds closely with the literature, offering a complete writing program that develops critical thinking skills, literary analysis, and creative writing. We provide instruction on how to compose various writing assignments, namely: narrative, argumentative, expository, persuasive and descriptive. We also require a 4-week research project and various reporting assignments. Each writing assignment concludes with a series of evaluation questions for the parent to analyze the quality of the student’s finished work.</p><p>Science includes a schedule with discussion questions, Student Lab Book and Parent Answer Key, as well as a Science Supplies Kit.</p><p>Student should understand basic algebra to complete some lab work in this program.</p><p>The Math-U-See Algebra 1 Universal Set comes with this All-Subject Package.</p><p>This Level I All Subject Package includes the BookShark Virtual option for online assessments, activities, schedules and more.</p><p>See the link below (Information from supplier) for a complete description of this package at bookshark.com.</p>
