<p>Step up to great articulation and language skills with <em>Speech Steps</em> These quick and easy reproducible drills will elevate your nonverbal or minimally verbal students to new levels.</p><p>To work on articulation, students first establish long vowels sounds (A, E, I, O, U). Then they progress to simple words by pairing the target sound with a vowel <em>pay, pea, pie, pole, pooch or safe, leaf, knife, loaf, roof.</em> As they improve, students will learn more complex word structures with varying vowels. <em>Speech Steps</em> includes sounds B, CH, D, F, G, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S, SH, T, TH, V, and Z in initial, medial, and final positions; Initial and Medial H and W; and Initial Blends.</p><p>Improve early developing language through imitation and drill with simple sounds (A, E, I, O, U), babbling <em>(ba, be, bi, bo, bu)</em>, and simple consonant-vowel words. As students learn these sound patterns, word productions increase and students begin to associate meaning with simple words. Before long, language takes off and vocabulary grows.</p><p>Reinforce students' progress at home with drills that parents will find simple and time efficient. Students with articulation and language delays, apraxia, and autism will soar to new heights with <em>Speech Steps</em>! 170 pages.</p></div>
