Intro to Digital Photography — For Middle & High School Students We’re excited to offer an 8-week Intro to Digital Photography class at Reiter Park in Longwood, FL, meeting on consecutive Thursdays from May 28 through July 16. There are two sessions each Thursday: 10:00–11:30 AM and 1:00–2:30 PM. This hands-on course, taught by a professional photographer with 20 years’ experience, helps middle and high school students build technical skills and creative confidence. Students will learn camera settings, lighting, composition, and basic editing in a supportive, project-based environment. They’ll photograph people, nature, and everyday scenes while developing their own style and learning to make images with purpose. Students will need a DSLR or mirrorless camera with at least one lens (a zoom lens is preferred but not required) and a memory card for each session. A tripod is recommended but optional. Each student will also need access to a computer for viewing and editing files at home. Please also send a water bottle and a snack with your student each session. If you have questions or need help determining whether your child’s equipment is suitable, we’re happy to assist.
