Seretha George's Tutoring Services offers reading & literacy intervention tutoring services to elementary school students (kindergarten to 5th grade) in Palm Beach and Okeechobee County. Seretha specializes in partnering with readers who are reading below grade level, with and without IEPs, and require foundational reading skills (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary (word recognition, and comprehension) to build strong vocabulary and reading comprehension proficiency. Ms. George is passionate about helping primary grade students become independent readers and thinkers to reach their highest potential. The instructional objective is to perform as a reading comprehension specialist, vocabulary development coach, and RTI reading interventionist across all learning environments, adhering to the principles of the B.E.S.T. Standards (reading, writing, speaking, listening, visual representation, and viewing) and evidence-based practices and strategies from the Science of Reading to facilitate intentional, explicit, and systematic instruction with progress monitoring assessments that ultimately lead to effective interactive learning environments. Ms. George brings eight years of experience teaching reading and literacy to K-3 students in various settings, to include in the classroom, afterschool tutorials, and summer school in PBC. Seretha holds a Master's degree in Reading & Literacy, a state professional teaching license, and a State of Florida Reading Endorsement.
