We are a Martial Arts School specializing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu(BJJ). We offer classes for kids and adults. Our Kids classes age usually are between 4-15 years, often divided into age groups ( 4-7, 8-12 , 13-15). Our classes help kids build discipline, focus, respect. Improves coordination and motor skills, encouraging teamwork and social development in a safe and fun environment. Classes are structured, starting with warm up with fun physical games, stretches and movements to prepare the body. After we have technique practice, this is when the kids learn basic positions appropriate to each age, mobility strength and coordination levels. After that drills, this is when they build muscle memory. Rolling /sparring is controlled and supervised, is the practice of the skills learned . We build confidence and emotional regulation, physical fitness, agility and coordination. We also encourage parental involvement in classes, for kids who may need extra support. Checkmat Orlando is where everyone has a sense of inclusion and achievement. We celebrate what the child can do rather than focusing on limitations.
