The Barn at Smith Acres, located in SWFL, is a homestead that unites the community by educating and sharing skills that date back to our ancestors agricultural roots. We breed and raise cows, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, livestock guardian dogs, turkeys and chickens, and with them as the focus, host a variety of AG classes from animal husbandry (raising and caring for) to beekeeping, Jr Veterinarian Classes, and all kinds of homesteading practices, including processing for meat and dairy. Most classes are for children of all ages and abilities, although we do also offer classes for adults.
