Students learn tool safety, material handling, and installation techniques. General Contractor (GC) Fundamentals: Lessons on the "business" of building, including reading blueprints, project scheduling, cost estimating, site safety management (often leading to OSHA 10 certification), and quality control. Career Readiness & Certification: Many high-school-level courses offer industry-recognized credentials (like NCCER Core) and soft skills training (teamwork, communication, problem-solving) essential for employment. Mentorship & Job Placement: Advanced programs often function as pre-apprenticeships, connecting students with local General Contractors for site visits, summer internships, and direct-to-work placement upon graduation.
