Our name and motto is: “Village Learning Center, because it takes a village to homeschool.” Our mission is to foster a supportive network (“a village”) for homeschool families. We seek to address the unique challenges homeschooling families face. To help with the burden of providing academic instruction in subjects that fall outside of a parent's expertise, we offer core and elective subjects classes. These are taught by talented teachers and qualified teachers in their field of expertise through both group classes and private tutoring sessions. To better serve the students’ unique learning needs we maintain a setting of a small class size of approximately 12 students maximum. To help homeschooled students who feel socially isolated, we give them the opportunity to attend multiple days a week for consistent interaction with their peers. This fosters meaningful relationships and social growth. For homeschooling parents, we provide an environment where they can gather, connect, and build a support network. Our purpose is to serve the local community and its students in an environment where we foster a nurturing, safe, and academically focused atmosphere, free from political or ideological leanings. Our goal is to empower our students to serve the local community and become productive members of society.
