PASS Proficiency Academics and Support Services, LLC will provide English/Language Arts/Reading/ESOL services for students of all ages (preschool to adults). Intensive reading services including all the 5 components of reading and writing will be provided (phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary development, fluency, prosody and comprehension). Notetaking and annotating or marking up texts to help students focus and build comprehension and test-taking strategies will be provided. The provider/business owner (Marleen Gordon) is a skilled, licensed teacher with decades of teaching experience, possessing a Master's degree in Reading education, an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, with certification in Elementary education, an ESOL endorsement, certification in English 5-9, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. Having taught all levels of schooling from elementary, through college and having provided professional development for teachers both in Florida and New York, PASS will effectively work to meet all learners' individual needs. Since efficient reading is the process that helps students to navigate all content areas, including math, students will be able to work on improving their confidence, skills and performance across subject areas.
