Founded by Maggie Meiti Mao, a classical pianist, composer, and singer, currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Miami. Play the Art Music and Art Academy is dedicated to providing exceptional music education. We offer 1-on-1 individual music lessons for all ages, in studio/in-home ( Broward and Plam Beach county), specializing not only in classical music but also in jazz, pop, composition, and music theory. At our academy, students of all levels have the ability to compose their own music, turning their ideas and emotions into authentic compositions. Our unique approach fosters creativity and self-expression while building strong music theory foundations. Learning music is more than just mastering an instrument. It’s about unlocking your child’s potential, building focus, discipline, resilience, patience, and creativity—skills that will positively impact their future success. Our teaching method helps students grow in all these life skills while cultivating a deep passion for music. We also offer professional exam preparation, including for ABRSM, the world’s largest and most prestigious music exam system. These exams test performance, theory, improvisation, and dictation, and achieving a high level of success can significantly enhance a student’s academic profile, especially when applying to Ivy League universities and other top schools.
