Logos Classical Learning is a classical curriculum developed by Hannibal’s Elephant. Logos Classical Learning provides custom, Great Books–based curriculum designed to form not only informed students, but thoughtful, virtuous, and wise persons. Grounded in the classical tradition and shaped by a Christian understanding of truth, goodness, and beauty, our curriculum invites students into the Great Conversation—the ongoing dialogue of the most influential thinkers, poets, theologians, historians, and philosophers of Western civilization. Through carefully curated selections from the Great Books, students engage the Great Ideas that have shaped human thought across centuries: justice, virtue, faith, reason, liberty, love, and the nature of the good life. Our approach reflects the historic goals of classical education: Formation of the soul, not mere information transfer Cultivation of reason, language, and moral imagination Habituation in virtue through sustained engagement with enduring texts Rather than scripted, one-size-fits-all lessons, Logos Classical Learning offers customized curricula tailored to each student’s grade level, reading ability, interests, and family priorities. Lessons emphasize close reading, guided reflection, discussion questions, writing prompts, and synthesis activities that encourage students to think deeply, speak clearly, and judge wisely.
