Empowering Neurodivergent Children with Emotional Regulation & Social Skills Quirky Quokkas is a specialized afterschool program in Jacksonville, FL, designed to support neurodivergent and neurotypical children in developing essential social skills and emotional intelligence and emotional/behavioral regulation. Our structured, play-based approach fosters confidence, connection, and self-awareness while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for growth. Led by Dr. Amaris, our program is designed to meet the needs of students utilizing Florida’s Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES), FTC, Unique Abilities, and New World Scholarships. Our curriculum integrates movement, brain games, and guided social interactions to help children develop positive peer relationships, self-regulation, and problem-solving skills.
