Salt and Light Society is a homeschool enrichment program designed to support families through meaningful field trips and intentional social-emotional learning experiences. Serving students participating in the Step Up for Students scholarship, our program blends hands-on exploration with character development to nurture well-rounded learners. Through regular field trips, students engage with the world beyond the classroom—visiting cultural sites, nature preserves, museums, and community organizations. These experiences are designed to spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and make learning relevant and memorable. In addition to experiential learning, Salt and Light Society places a strong emphasis on social-emotional growth. Students participate in guided activities that build communication skills, emotional awareness, teamwork, and resilience. Our supportive environment encourages positive peer relationships and helps students develop confidence and a strong sense of identity. Salt and Light Society partners with families to provide a flexible, enriching supplement to home education—cultivating both the mind and character of each student.
