The Attic Academy offers multiple services for home-educating families. Choice Navigator provides counseling and consulting for both new and experienced homeschool families seeking guidance with curriculum selection, educational philosophy, literature recommendations, yearly planning, and academic direction from elementary through high school. The Attic Academy also offers an integrated Home Education Instruction Plan (HEIP) for middle-school students seeking a thoughtful, small-group learning environment rooted in a Christian worldview and informed by classical education traditions. Three-hour sessions are held two or three days weekly in dedicated homeschool classrooms within our country home and are intentionally limited in size. Instruction focuses on communication through the study of writing, rhetoric, literature, history, geography, vocabulary, grammar, and public speaking. Students engage in discussion-based learning that strengthens communication skills and intellectual curiosity through rich literature, historical ideas, thoughtful narration, and meaningful conversation. Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications. After more than thirteen years of homeschooling, teaching at Sarasota Christian School, and serving as a Classical Conversations director, she has developed a deep appreciation for an education that fosters wonder and lingers over truth, beauty, and goodness.
