I have over 20 years of experience working with exceptional students and general education students of all ages. My educational background includes an Educational Specialist degree from the University of West Florida in curriculum and instruction, a master's degree in English from Southern New Hampshire, and a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of South Florida. I focus heavily on reading skills because reading is an important foundational skill for other academic subjects. I work with many students who are English Language Learners. My extensive knowledge and background with students who have special needs assists me in prescribing a course of action in curriculum and learning to achieve student goals using the appropriate accommodations. Students enjoy learning, propelling them to reach academic success. I work with all ages and grade levels to enhance the skills and abilities of each individual student, including test prep tutoring.
