Southern Shores Psychology Center was opened by clinical psychologist Dr. Lauren Butler, Psy.D. Southern Shores provides psychological evaluations, individual and family therapy, and educational consulting and advocacy. Psychological evaluations are a powerful tool to better understand one's cognitive abilities and mental health functioning, and can be used to assess for intellect (such as gifted testing), academic achievement (including learning disabilities), and mental health functioning (including ADHD, Autism, depression, and anxiety, among others). After receiving a diagnosis that may affect a child's ability to be successful in the classroom, Southern Shores offers educational consulting and advocacy to help inform parents of their options to help their child succeed. Individual and family therapy is also provided by Dr. Butler.
