Emerald Coast Learning Lab provides private one on one or small group tutoring for grades k-5 in reading and math. I specialize in teaching students with reading disabilities using Orton Gillingham methodology. I am trained as a classroom educator in Orton Gillingham by Dawn Nieman and screening for dyslexia and The Barton Reading and Spelling System by Susan Barton. I have been a special education teacher in the public school system for over 20 years, and can also help families navigate the process for special education services and an IEP once it is developed. Teaching and advocating for families and students with special needs is my passion. If your child is struggling in ELA or math, especially due to a reading/learning disability, I can help. I have a main office in Southport, FL and a secondary office in Inlet Beach where I serve students across Bay and Walton County. I can also provide online tutoring if in person is not possible.
