Experienced Tutor for Grades 1-8, Algebra I, and High School Exam Prep & College Applications With a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Reading Education, I bring over 33 years of teaching experience to help students succeed. For 18 years, I taught ESOL and regular first grade in both public and Catholic schools, developing a deep understanding of how children learn best. In 2007, I transitioned from the classroom to focus on small group and one-on-one tutoring, where I truly found my passion. I specialize in all subjects for grades 1-8, including Algebra I, providing personalized instruction tailored to each student’s learning style. Additionally, I assist with high school entrance exam preparation for the HSPT, ensuring students are well-equipped for success. For high schoolers, I also offer guidance on college applications, helping them navigate resumes and the application process with confidence.
