I provide educational, project-based instruction in sewing and baking through structured, hands-on lessons designed to build practical skills, independence, and confidence. Instruction emphasizes learning through guided demonstration, supervised practice, and skill reinforcement rather than passive activities. Students develop core competencies such as measurement and fractions, sequencing and following multi-step instructions, tool and equipment safety, and problem-solving. Sewing instruction includes pattern reading, fabric preparation, hand-sewing and machine operation, seam construction, and finishing techniques. Baking instruction includes recipe comprehension, measuring ingredients, kitchen safety, and basic food preparation skills. Classes are offered in small groups or one-on-one and are adaptable to student age, learning style, and pace. Projects are age-appropriate and designed to support applied math, reading comprehension, fine-motor development, and executive-function skills such as planning, focus, and task completion. Services are appropriate for elementary, middle-school, and high-school students, including beginners and those building on existing skills.
