I am a secondary school Chinese educator with a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Literature. With over 20 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to teach students from Kindergarten through adult learners. Before my current position, I worked at a college and with a Chinese proficiency test organization, where I was responsible for creating test questions. My teaching practice includes preparing students for Advanced Placement (AP) Chinese tests and supporting their development in general Chinese language proficiency and writing skills. I take pride in employing a cultural approach in my teaching to enhance the learning experience.
