Reimagine the Rainbow: Use your imagination to create a rainbow bagel masterpiece in your unique vision. Maybe you want each bagel to be a different color of the rainbow, or maybe you want all your bagels to be just 2 colors each. Get creative! Plain Bagels: Prefer plain bagels? You can easily make this classic style without food coloring. When you get to steps 2 and 5, just combine all the ingredients in one bowl instead. You’ll also skip adding colors in Step 4 and just flatten your single layer of dough in Step 9. Bagel Bites: If you want to skip molding the traditional big bagel circles, you can alternatively cut your dough strips into 2-inch, bite-size bagel pieces. Then continue with the rest of the recipe as is. Rest and Rise: Make sure you follow the important step of letting your dough rest for 30 minutes. While the dough sits in a warm place, the yeast will help it rise to create softer and yummier bagels to enjoy. Cream Cheese Clouds: Add cream cheese clouds to your rainbow bagels as a finishing touch. First, cut a bagel in half across the center to make two half circles. Stand each half up like a rainbow. Then add a scoop of cream cheese to both ends to make clouds!
